Sandwich Board
Spring 2009

Marieke Stolk & Danny van den Dungen of Experimental Jetset came to MCAD to do a workshop exploring posters as sandwich boards.
These take part in that exploration and investigate positive sandwich board, which in history have been used protest or sell or advertise. Where these particular messages are striving to create a positive interaction, and also an implied devotion to the message.

With the help of Justin Heideman I wrote and installed an automated script running on my computer that would take screen grabs every fifteen minutes. This publication documents a month of those captures. I kept a blog running concurrently. At the end of each day the blog was updated with that day’s captures.
Winter
Spring 2008

This is a project I did in early spring. The letters were hand cut from ice and placed on a walking path at Lake Calhoun. Spring is an optimistic time and the word ‘Winter' melting added a positive reminder of the changing seasons.
